Seeing is Believing funds projects that give access to eye care for underprivileged people - to improve health, economic prospects and quality of life, now and in the future.
We aim to raise US$ 20 million by 2012 to fund comprehensive and sustainable eye care services for 20 million people in the poorest areas of 20 cities across the globe. It's our newest commitment - 'Seeing is Believing - A New Vision’.

When Standard Chartered marked its 150th anniversary in 2003, it's 28,000 people worldwide said they wanted to celebrate by helping people in need.
Seeing is Believing was born, as a staff initiative to raise enough money to fund 28,000 cataract operations.
Today, we are a multi-million dollar, global collaboration underpinned by Standard Chartered, partnering with the world's leading eye experts and non-government organisation implementing partners.
We are making a real difference in the lives of millions of the world's poorest people, now and for the future.
