Eye-care in Kenya
14,000 blind youth
Around 300,000 blind people living in Kenya- 14,000 are children.
With one eye doctor to every one million people living in urban areas of Kenya and one eye doctor to every two million people living rurally, access to eye-care is a huge issue.
With 61% of Kenyans living in rural areas, this shows the desperate need for a vast increase in eye health.
