About my charity

The statistics on blindness are staggering, but people don’t go blind by the million- they go blind one by one.

For each person the impact is enormous. Loss of sight often results in social exclusion, making blind people vulnerable to abuse, poverty and early death. Less than half of all children who lose their sight will survive to adulthood.

The figures are overwhelming. Help us to help others see by donating now.

Dear All,

Last year I ran the ING 2010 New York Marathon raising money for Team for Kids and Seeing is believing. I finished in 3h09 and raised about usd 5k, beating my 2006 New York marathon performance (3h11, usd 4,475 for Seeing is believing).

This year, it is time to go further both for performance and fund raising. I will run The 2011 Chicago marathon for Seeing is believing and because I am targeting better than 03:09, I am sure you can help me rise more than usd 5,000.

To spice things up I will have only 1month and a half of training (one month less than last year). The Chicago marathon is on October 9, 2011.
